As an improviser #SWIMP is an amazing opportunity to perform at the revered and beautiful Reginateatern, the oldest theatre in Uppsala. Go for fun and drinks after your show around the corner and go to bed at CityStay, just next door. In the morning attend one of the many workshops held just across the street from Reginateatern.
#SWIMP is your ultimate festival experience, it's that time of the year when the street of Trädgårdsgatan changes its name to "Improv Street", that time of the year when improv is praised, celebrated and raised to the skies!
As an audience member you get to watch all the amazing acts from all around the world, see the shows as they are created in front of you, right there and then.
You've never seen anything like it and never will ever again. It's something that has to be experienced to believe it!
Since the start in 2015 over 100 improvisers from 23 different countries have stood on the stage at Reginateatern in the center of beautiful and historical Uppsala. The participants, from India to the US and everywhere in between, has made #SWIMP a wonderful experience!

Being the fourth biggest city in Sweden, Uppsala is a city full of life with plenty of things to experience. filled with beautiful natural surroundings, busy shopping streets, fascinating sights and exciting cultural treasures.
Uppsala is worldknown for Uppsala university and the beautiful cathedral, which is the tallest in Scandinavia. People are friendly and it’s easy to get around since pretty much everything is within walking distance.
If you’re not up for a walk there is a well functioning bus system.
How to get here
From Arlanda Airport to Uppsala Centralstation:
Arlanda Airport is the closest airport to Uppsala. The cheapest and easiest way is to take bus 801 from Arlanda terminal 5 to Uppsala Centralstation. It takes 45 minutes and you can pay by card on the bus. Timetable for bus 801(in Swedish) here.
From Uppsala Centralstation to Reginateatern:
Only a 10min walk to the theatre, along the way you get to see some of the beauty of Uppsala.
You can also take bus 20 Graneberg from bus stop A1 to bus stop Trädgårdsgatan.
From Stockholm Centralstation to Uppsala Centralstation:
From Stockholm you can either take the SJ Regionaltåg (about 40 min) timetables for the trains are found here,
or the Pendeltåg (commuter train, about 60min), timetables for those are found here.
